See roughly what the interest on your Help to Buy equity loan costs now and how it could rise over the next five years. Interest starts five years after you bought your home and goes up every April.
We pick the scheme from the date you bought; change it if your paperwork says otherwise. The yearly rise uses the official RPI or CPI figure, so the inflation figure here is only an assumption you choose. The rate still rises each April even if inflation is 0%.
Interest doesn't reduce what you owe. To repay, you pay your loan percentage of your home's value at the time, based on a RICS valuation, plus a Homes England admin fee of up to £200. A £1 monthly management fee is also charged.

Figures are estimates. Homes England writes to you each February with your actual rate. If you've already repaid part of the loan, your interest will be lower.
